Insured shipment and controlled returns for precious metals.

HJ Bullion handles precious metals and collectible coins as high-value merchandise. Shipping and returns are structured around insurance, tracking, signature handling, and inspection.

Outbound Shipping

  • Shipping charges are quoted before payment and may include postage, handling, insurance planning, signature service, and certified or registered handling when required.
  • Outbound service levels depend on order value, delivery address, shipment weight, and risk review.
  • High-value orders may require USPS Registered Mail or comparable chain-of-custody handling before release.
  • Orders can be held for identity, payment, address, or fraud review before shipment.

Return Requirements

  • Return authorization is required before any item is mailed back.
  • The return request must be started within 7 calendar days after delivery.
  • Items must be returned in the same condition received, including capsules, slabs, seals, COAs, assay packaging, boxes, and set contents when applicable.
  • Customer-remorse returns require customer-paid insured, trackable return shipping with signature service. For higher-value shipments, HJ Bullion may require USPS Registered Mail or equivalent handling.
  • Original outbound shipping, handling, and insurance charges are not refundable for customer-remorse returns.
  • Refunds are issued only after HJ Bullion receives, inspects, and verifies the returned merchandise.

Return window and fees

Eligible customer-remorse returns must be requested within 7 calendar days after delivery. The customer is responsible for insured return shipping, and original outbound shipping, handling, and insurance charges are not refundable unless HJ Bullion shipped the wrong item, materially misdescribed the item, or otherwise caused the return.

HJ Bullion does not currently charge a separate restocking fee for approved customer-remorse returns. HJ Bullion does not accept returns of altered, substituted, opened, damaged, or incomplete merchandise.

How to start a return

  1. 1. Contact HJ Bullion with your order number and reason for return.
  2. 2. Wait for return authorization and packing instructions before mailing the item.
  3. 3. Ship using the required insured, trackable service and retain the receipt and tracking number.
  4. 4. Refund review begins after receipt, inspection, and verification.
